Now people's preference is to buy jewelry, which is much cheaper and the designs are also fabulous. Another Blue Area goldsmith said: "Without a doubt, the new trend of wearing artificial jewelry is a gift from the increase in gold prices, which has seriously affected our business.' The price of the yellow metal has increased up to Rs 100,157.53 for  per 10 grams pf gold and Rs 118,000.96 for gold per tola. Rahima, an architecture student at COMSATS, said: "My preference is to buy artificial jewelry, as their designs are wonderful and the prices are also much lower compared to gold." 

The jewelery business has now become an industry and millions of people are directly or indirectly related to it. With the growing trend in artificial jewelry, its prices have now increased in the current year compared to last year. A good quality artificial jewelry set that was available at Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 six months ago is now available for Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000. Now, Chinese jewelry has also made a good impression on the local market and women prefer to buy it due to its good quality and design, as well as its lower price.
