 Why Shoes are Important:

Shoes are very important part in our daily life. Shoes were basically designed to protect our feet from cold weather, warm weather and from uncomfortable surfaces. The first version of the shoe is believed to be a sandal in some form. As man's knowledge of tools and leather work grew, so did the sophistication and quality of average footwear.
The ancient Egyptians wore straw-woven flip-flops, while the Dutch wore wooden carved shoes to protect their feet from the wet, swampy soil in which they worked.

With the passage of time, shoes have become an integral part of everyday life. Fashion also played a role in the evolution of footwear. The human psyche yearns for an individual and unique identity. The nobility and upper classes saw in shoes an opportunity to fulfill this wish.
The shoes became more and more extravagant. Fabrics, velvets and tapestries began to be used. This was the birth of the footwear industry as we know it today. Today shoes are classified according to their use. They are casual and dress, work, sports and corrective.
Casual shoes are designed and thought to convey an attitude of relaxation and informality. The design of casual footwear has evolved over time. Today's casual shoes resemble formal dress shoes in many ways. Casual shoes range from flip flops to slippers and boots.

Formal dress shoes are of two varieties: lace-up and slip-on. They are traditionally made of leather and tend to be expensive. The use of plastics and modern manufacturing methods has driven prices down. The upper classes still prefer leather to what they consider cheap plastic.
Women's dress shoes can be a variant of soles or sandals. The style of clothing decides the category of the shoe in the case of women. Unisex shoes are a new product in the footwear market. Sports shoes are specialized shoes designed and created to allow better performance in a particular sport activity.
Athletic or athletic footwear is worn in a number of sports such as soccer, basketball, cricket, and athletic events.

Climbing shoes are also a specialized type of footwear unsuitable for any other sport and even for walking due to their design. It is usually placed at the base of a climb. Basketball and tennis shoes have rubber soles to allow a better grip on their respective courts.
Sports like soccer, football, baseball, and hockey use shoes with metal studs on the bottom of the sole to provide better grip for quick starts and stops. Hiking boots or hiking boots are designed to support the ankle to prevent injury and provide good grip on rocky surfaces.
